After eight months as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator, I was ready to take on a new role and start selling. Thankfully, my team agreed and I was promoted to Program Consultant to begin a more hands-on role with events. It was a natural transition as many of the skills I learned as a coordinator allowed me to adapt to my new responsibilities quickly. In this role, I look forward to forming strong relationships with clients and our keynote speakers while still having a hand in marketing as a liaison between teams.
Highlights: Developing strong professional relationships with clients and speakers, learning new things from experts in various industries, working collaboratively with marketing on lead generation.
I supported the sales team by conducting research into new talent and clients, entering new contacts and opportunities into the database, working on contracts, and helping our team with other tasks as assigned. I also assisted our marketing team with digital marketing, database management, and event support. I helped to train the new sales and marketing coordinators after I had been promoted.
Highlights: Database management, copywriting talent materials, speaker outreach
